Remember to mark your edits as minor when, but only when, they genuinely are (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one, or vice versa, is condsidered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that an edit of a page that is spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. --Gray Porpoise 21:50, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:minor edit

[edit]

My interpretation of Wikipedia:Minor edit is that any edit that adds information that was not in the previous version, regardless of who it originated from, is minor. We all think differently, though. I was also thinking of this edit. Since it was equivalent to reverting, it wasn't minor. Have a nice night (it is about midnight in France, isn't it?)! --Gray Porpoise 22:06, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your previous message: Sorry, I wasn't paying attention! I thought it said not to mark vandalism removal as minor. I should read these things more closely. --Gray Porpoise 22:27, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
